Dr. Steven J. Saccoccio

Dr. Saccoccio is a graduate of Bishop Hendricken High School and Assumption College in Worcester, Massachusetts where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology. He earned his dental degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 1992. It was in that year that Dr. Saccoccio was welcomed into the practice of Dr. Stephen J. Puerini, Sr., becoming a partner in the practice in 2001.

While Dr. Saccoccio’s main focus is family dentistry, his expertise has expanded to include prosthetic and implant dentistry as well as a full range of cosmetic dental services. He is a member of the American Dental Association and the Rhode Island Dental Association. Along with his partners, he is an active member of the Providence Plantations Dental Study Club and its parent, the Seattle Study Club. Both these organizations devote considerable time and energy toward continuing dental education.

When not practicing in Cranston, Dr. Saccoccio devotes time each week to the patients residing at the Zambarano Unit of the Eleanor Slater Hospital where he serves as the Director of Dental Services. He also serves on the Professional Advisory Committee of Blue Cross Dental.

Dr. Saccoccio is a Rhode Island native and enjoys his involvement in several community activities. As a youth, he was involved in the Boy Scouts of America program attaining the rank of Eagle Scout. He has continued that commitment to scouting with his two sons, serving as a leader in both Pack 6 and Troop 6. He resides in Cranston with his wife, Melissa, and their three children, Giovanna, Luke and Dominic.
