Dr. Stephen J. Puerini, DMD
Dr. Stephen J. Puerini, Sr. has been practicing dentistry since 1973. He is an honors graduate of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and had the pleasure of practicing for many years with his father, Dr. Albert Puerini, Sr.
Over the years Dr. Puerini has served on the Board of Trustees of the Rhode Island Dental Association, the American Cancer Society and the Board of Directors of Delta Dental of Rhode Island. He also served on the State Board of Dental Examiners as well as on legislative sub-committees dealing in matters of health care. For the past fifteen years he has served as an examiner for the North East Regional Board of Dental Examiners administering licensure exams to graduating dentists in our 17 state northeast region.
He is a member of the American College of Dentists and the International College of Dentists and was recently honored by his peers by being selected one of Rhode Island's “Top Dentists” in a poll sponsored by R.I. Monthly Magazine.
Along with his partners, he is an active member of the Providence Plantations Dental Study Club and its parent, the Seattle Study Club. Both these organizations devote considerable time and energy toward continuing dental education.
In his spare time, he enjoys biking, fly-fishing, yoga, woodworking and travel with his wife of 38 years, Jane. He and Jane have three children, Gianna, Stephen (now a dentist and partner in the practice), and Damian.
