Dr. Stephen J. Puerini, Jr.

Dr. Stephen J. Puerini, Jr. was born and raised in Rhode Island. Growing up and while a student at Bishop Hendricken High School, he competed at track, cross-country and cycling. Having a love of nature and wildlife, he participated in the Boy Scouts of America program and achieved the rank of Eagle, scouting’s highest rank.

Following his graduation from Hendricken in 1994, Dr. Puerini attended Assumption College in Worcester, Massachusetts. While at Assumption, he completed a degree in Biology and also completed the necessary pre-requisites for dental school. He attended Temple University Dental School participating in both the pediatric and oral maxillofacial study clubs and received his degree in 2003.

While in his third year of training, Dr. Puerini met his wife Kaja who now practices dentistry in Rhode Island as well. After graduation, he returned to Rhode Island to join the practice of his father, Dr. Stephen J. Puerini, Sr. and his friend and godfather, Dr. Steven J. Saccoccio. Since graduation he has continued his education with post-graduate courses in Endodontics (root canal therapy), cosmetic dentistry, Lumineers and Invisalign Orthodontics. He currently serves in the Rhode Island Dental Association and volunteers his time as a consulting dentist on the Board of the Rhode Island Interscholastic League, an organization dedicated to safety in school sports programs. Along with his partners, he is also an active member of the Providence Plantations Dental Study Club and its parent, the Seattle Study Club. Both these organizations devote considerable time and energy toward continuing dental education.

In his spare time, Dr. Puerini enjoys camping, hiking, kayaking, fishing, snowboarding and pretty much anything to do with the outdoors.
